I designed a set of logos, product label, biz card, and website for a nutritious powder drink mix (launching in 2017) that doubles as a healthy mixer and a sports drink. I did some early explorations when I had free time. When the project got funded and my availability opened up, I put all my time and energy into it – customizing the logo, typography & textures, photo-shooting fruit on my patio, writing copy, and digitally illustrating & retouching many elements for the project.

Challenge Create a nostalgic monogram logo for selvedge denim label Chief Denim & Co and design graphic trim package to complete branding package’s prototype samples. Solution With plenty of research on typography and monograms from 1800’s, collaborating closely with the designer/founder Kenney Gruber, and executing a number of iterations, a unique lockup was sketched and drawn in Illustrator to set the tone for the rest of the brand.

Close collaboration with the founder / denim director to design a nostalgic monogram logo. With plenty of research on typography and monograms from the industrial 1800’s and executing a number of iterations, we landed on a final lockup to set the tone for the rest of the brand. And since the label was meant to applaud the founder's father's history as a police chief, the graphic trim package / mockups needed to do the same.

Challenge Design a logo, a painting, a website, and print pieces for the launch of a wine bar & bistro in the heart of Venice, CA. The bar concept was meant to embrace the community and all patrons & walks of life, no matter what journey they are on— and capture the area’s heritage being that it would open in a building 100+ years old. Solution In reviewing the history of Venice and the building, the few pictures available, some vintage style inspiration, and personal sentiments from the partners, custom distressed typography and a bull roaming slowly across the desert in the sunset to find the next place to soak up a crisp beverage with good company— was created.

I created a logotype, a digital painting, a website, and print work for a wine bar & bistro in the heart of Venice, CA. The bar concept was meant to embrace the community— all patrons & walks of life, no matter what journey they were on— and capture the area’s heritage. It opened in a 100-year-old building. The image tells the story of a bull (Turnbull is the founder's last name) roaming slowly across the desert to find a place to soak up a crisp beverage with good company.
